Introduction |
Different company activities will have different cost associations. Segregation of cost is easily enabled via Labor Categories which are easily customized, depending on specific customer requirements, one . One customers category could be another customers department. Two common examples of Categories could be Production and Engineering and within these Categories are Departments, typical Categories might be:

Setting Categories |
A Category can be set under Settings → Options → Labor tab. Right click within the Category window and select Add category, a description dialog box will open for the name of the category to be inserted.

Setting Regular and Overtime Rates |
The hourly rates for each category can also be set under Settings → Options → Labor tab. . Right click on the Category and select either Edit RT Rate ot Edit OT Rate. A dialog box will open for the desired rate.
