Introduction
Different company activities will have different cost associations. Segregation of cost is easily enabled via Labor Categories which are easily customized, depending on specific customer requirements. One customer's category could be another customer's department. Two common examples of Categories could be Production and Engineering and within these Categories are Departments.
Typical Categories might be:

Setting Categories |
A Category can be set under Settings → Options → Labor tab.
Right click within the Category window and select Add category.
A description dialog box will open for the name of the category to be inserted.

Setting regular time (RT) and overtime (OT) rates |
The hourly rates for each category can also be set under Settings → Options → Labor tab.
Right click on the Category and select either Edit RT Rate ot Edit OT Rate.
A dialog box will open for the desired rate.
