Follow the steps below to create a new client connection. This connection will connect the Crows Nest desktop application to the server that is hosting the Crows Nest database instance. The process is the same when you are editing an existing connection. However, you’ll select ‘Edit’ from the pop-up context menu rather than ‘Add’, as you would when creating a new record.

After launching the Crows Nest desktop client application, click the ‘Connections’ button in the bottom right-hand corner to expand the window.
Right-mouse click in the ‘Connections’ panel to pop-up the context menu with options to: Add; Edit; Copy; and Delete connections.
Select ‘Add’ from the pop-up context menu.
Give your connection a ‘Name’, and fill-in the ‘Server’ connection string (IP address or DNS record and port, if applicable. Example: 192.168.0.1,13000)
Click ‘Save’
Enter your License Key.
Enter your User name, and Password.
Click ‘Login’
