Grid UI/UX Customization
Easy-to-use and highly customizable Grid
Many datagrids have been replaced throughout the desktop application with more easy-to-use and highly customizable grids. The more modern datagrids offer an array of UI customization features - so you can personalize your datagrids to meet your ever-changing needs.
Here are a few of the UI/UX customization options:

Group By this Column - Right-click any column and choose Group By This Column, or simply drag-and-dropping column headers to the “Group By Box”. Remove grouping by selecting “Ungroup” from the pop-up, or by dragging the header out of the “Group By Box”.
Rearranging Columns

You can rearrange the left-to-right order of your datagrid columns by simply selecting, then dragging-and-dropping the column where you want it to be.
Hiding/Removing Columns
There are a couple of ways that you can remove columns from your datagrid. Removing them doesn’t delete them. It simply removes or “hides” it from your view. When you hide a column, it’s stored on a Column Chooser palette, where it can be re-added to your datagrid at any time, by simply dragging it back to the datagrid.
Right-click the column header and select Hide This Column from the pop-up context menu.
Click, then drag the column header off of the datagrid.

Grouping, Sorting and Filtering
The power of the data grids is readily apparent when we start grouping:
A grouping by Project is now on view:
We can simply drag the column back onto the grid to ungroup or right click to ungroup.
Filtering:
Hover over the column header to display the filter icon.
Click on the icon to display the filtering options.
Click on the filter icon again to clear the filtering.
Sorting:
Hover over the column header to sort the column.
Click on the icon to reverse the sort order.
Right click on the column header to clear the sorting.

And cell options
Other options include the sequencing and display of the columns, drag a column header to the location in the grid. The column chooser can be accessed by right clicking on a column header.
