Download MS SQL Server Express 2019.
Navigate to the file location and run SQLServer2019-SSEI-Expr.exethe downloaded file.
Windows UAC will prompt you with a warning. Select Yes to continue. Select Basic.
Read the License Terms and click Accept to continue.
Verify the install location and click Install to begin installation.

Install SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
When installation of SQL Server is complete, you may opt to install SQL Server Management Studio . Selecting this option will open a browser window to download. This can also be installed separately: Download (we Recommend installing this).

Run the setup file from the location where you saved it. SSMS will now install.
Click Close to complete the installation. You can now close the SQL Server 2017 Express Edition installer window as well. In some instances, a restart may be required.
Now, navigate to the start menu and type find Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Click on the app to launch SSMS.
