Release: January 19, 2020

  • Import Type: Crows Nest – Added a new Import Source Type of Crows Nest for importing information from other areas of CN.

  • Import Drawings – A new right-click option titled ‘Import…’ has been added to the Drawing log to import drawings from an external source.

  • MR Rejection Notification – Added a new setting in the Notification Events for notifying somebody when an MR Item is Rejected. This is in addition to the checkbox for notifying the person who submitted the MR Item.

  • Estimating Takeoff Groups Checkbox – A Checkbox has been added to the Groups tree in Estimating. It cannot be checked directly but when checked indicates that there is at least one item in the Group and all items have been checked. To view the checkboxes, right-click the Group tree and select ‘Show Checkboxes’

  • Change Order Markup Sequence – The Compounded option for Change Order markups has been replaced with a Markup Sequence number for doing multiple levels of compounding. Markups will be applied in the sequence order from lowest to highest. For example, if Markup1 has a sequence of 0 and Markup2 has a sequence of 1, then Markup1 will be applied, then Markup2 will be applied. The Markup Sequence can be set for each Project, but you can right click the values and set them as default values for new Projects. NOTE: The auto-calculation of the total amount has not yet been updated to honor the new sequence.

  • Part Friendly Name – Added a field to the Part table named Friendly Name. This field can be used when compiling a list of material for an Estimate and displaying a friendlier list of materials for a client.

  • PO Item Highlighted Aggregates – Highlighting multiple cells on the PO Item list on a PO will display aggregates in the lower right corner of the main client window. By default Sum will be displayed but you can click the dropdown button to include Average and Count as well.

  • Task Trigger on Drawing Status Change – Changing the Status of a Drawing can Trigger Tasks. • Activity Timeline – Added keyboard shortcuts to the context menu and keyboard controls for the ‘Schedule Activity’ window.

  • Fix: Project Notes not Loading – The table of Notes on the Notes tab on the Project form did not load correctly if ‘Estimates’ was checked.

  • Estimate Material Substitution Improvements – Modifications to the Material Substitutions as follows. Added an ‘All’ option to the Finish filter. Added a Search textbox. Combined columns for substituted values and the original values, Orange still indicates a substituted value. Added the Category, Finish, Inventory and Stock columns. Added right-click menu options to ‘Import from Project Pricing’ and ‘Save to Project Pricing’. Added multi-column sorting and column reordering as well as sticky column widths.

  • User Profile Folder Paths – Added folder/filepath mapping for file sharing apps that use the users profile path to store synced files. For example if you use Office 365 Sharepoint and you have a shared company folder that is synced to a path like “C:\Users\\\” and you want to store your Project Folders there so they sync up to the cloud you can list your Project Folder location as “%USERPROFILE%\\Projects\”. Whenever the %USERPROFILE% variable is found in a file path it will translate it to the local directory. When opening files/folders it will convert to a local file path. When saving a filepath back to the database it will convert back to %USERPROFILE% so others can access it.

  • Post Import Queries – When Importing Drawings, Phases, or Project Budgets you can configure a query to run after the Import finishes. If you insert the tag into the query it will be replaced with the Project ID. If you insert the tag into the query it will be replaced with a comma delimited string of the IDs of the imported records. To edit the query, right-click the Import Source in the ‘Select an Import Source’ window and click ‘Edit Post Import Query’.
