Crows Nest currently exports to Quickbooks Desktop.

Exporting to Quickbooks Online is not yet available but under development.

We updated CN last night and we are having problems with exporting our PO’s. It comes up with an error and when you try to close the error box it says the program is not responding. I downloaded the QBFC tool from your website and tried to run that as well. What should I do from here?

Try the following:

  1. Verify Quickbooks and QBFC (from our downloads page) are both installed on the PC

  2. Log into Quickbooks as an Admin

  3. Initiate the Export from Crows Nest to Quickbooks

  4. Look to see if a popup window opens in Quickbooks to allow Crows Nest access

  5. If the window pops up, grant access and see if the export finishes


When you first connect from CN while logged into QB with Admin rights, a QB window should pop up and ask you what level of connection permission you want to grant to CN.

You can modify your choice later by going to Preferences-->Integrated Applications-->Company Preferences (see pic below).

This is saved in the QB file so you should only need to do this once.

After that you can initiate the transfer without logging into QB with admin.

I recommend granting access only when QB is open and logged in and also disabling the Prompt in QB (see circled settings in pic below) so that only users who have access to QB can initiate the transfer, and you don't miss a popup from QB that may be behind the other windows.

Verify that you have QB open and logged in prior to starting the transfer from CN.
