  1. Navigate to the Estimates form on the main ribbon menu.

  2. Right click any project in the Project/Estimate list.

  3. Select Add New Estimate from the pop-up context menu.

  4. Select a source template from the Source Template list on the left-hand side of the panel (e.g., “Default Estimating Template” from Project 100 titled “Estimating Template”.

  5. Select the Project you are associating the estimate with.

  6. If desired, change the status from the default.

  7. The assigned Estimator will auto populate from the user logged-in to Crows Nest. Change if the person being assigned to the estimate is different.

  8. Give your newly created estimate a name/description.

  9. Click OK.

Copy Existing Estimate

You can copy an estimate in its entirety from one project to another in much the same fashion as creating a new estimate from a template. This option allows you to specify the project you’re copying from, and if there are multiple bids, which bid you want to copy.

  1. Navigate to the Estimates form on the main ribbon menu.

  2. Right click any project in the Project/Estimate list.

  3. Select Add New Estimate from the pop-up context menu.

  4. Choose a project that you want copy from.

  5. Click OK.

  6. If more than one bid exists, choose which bid you wish to copy.

  7. Select the Project you are associating the estimate with.

  8. If desired, change the status from the default.

  11. Click OK.
