Explains four ways to add labor hours:
Transfer from Crows Nest estimate
Manual entry in Project Cost
Manual entry in Project Phase

Transfer labor hours from Crows Nest estimate
Navigate to Project Estimate form:
Toolbar > Estimates icon, or
Menu Bar > Estimating > Estimates
In Select Estimate box on left, locate Project Name
Right-click on Project Name
Select Process Estimate
View Process Estimate form (see image 1)
Make sure the Create Budget box is checked [x]
Click Start Process button

Add labor hours manually to Project Cost form
Navigate to Project Cost form:
Toolbar > Project Cost icon, or
Menu bar > Accounting > Project Cost
Select Budget tab (middle left on form)
Select Labor child tab
View Labor Budget form (see image 2)
Right-click in the large box on the right to add Department and/or Operation
Select a cell in Department row and Hours column
Enter labor hours

Add hours manually to Project Phase form
Navigate to Project form:
Toolbar > Project icon, or
Menu bar > Data > Project
In the Edit Project box > select Phase tab
To add a phase, see Adding Phases
Right-click on a Phase > select Detail
View Details form (see image 3)
Select Budget tab
Select Labor child tab
Right-click in lower box to add Department and/or Operation
Select a cell in Department row and Hours column
Enter labor hours

Import labor hours from external source
Open “Select an Import Source” window

Navigate to Project form:
Toolbar > Project icon, or
Menu bar > Data > Project
In the Edit Project box > select Phase tab

Right-click a Project Phase > select Import… (last menu item)

Navigate to Project Cost form:
Toolbar > Project Cost icon, or
Menu bar > Accounting > Project Cost
Select Budget tab (middle left on form)
Select Labor child tab
Click on Import button immediately below Labor child tab (see image 4)
Configure Import Source
View Select an Import Source window
Right-click to Add a new source
Right-click Source > Change Type to…
CSV w/ header
CSV w/o header
OBDC query
MS Access database file
Crows Nest
Right-click Source > Edit Post Import Query > Enter SQL Query:
Data import from spreadsheets or other applications may require custom SQL queries
