Multi-column sorting

Most tables in Crows Nest allow you to sort columns by clicking on a column header. In some tables you can sort by a single column at a time. In some tables multi-column sorting has been added. If you see a small number on the upper right corner of the column header when sorting this indicates that multi-column sorting is added to that table. Read below to see how to use this feature.

How Multi-Column Sorting Works

  1. Left-click a column header to add it to the sort as the next number. In this example, we have left-clicked the On Hand column from the Inventory tab on the Inventory form. The left-click has added a 1 to the column. Continuing to left-click the other columns in this tab will add the next number (i.e. 2, 3, 4, etc.) and sort the columns in numerical order.

  2. Middle-click a column header to remove it from the sort

  3. Double-Left-Click any column header to remove all columns from sorting like a reset

  4. In some areas you may also see a link above the table that says Clear Sort Columns or Clear Sort like the one on the sample pic here. Clicking this link does the same thing as double-clicking to remove all column sorting.
