Notification options
To use notifications, you must install and configure the Email Service.
The Notification tab displays the options for email notifications and popups in Crows Nest.
Navigate: Menu bar > Settings > Options form > Notifications tab
The email notification options are explained below, illustration follows:
Option | Explanation |
---|---|
Server identity | Server’s email address and name. |
Email method | Options for Gmail, Outlook, Thunderbird, SMTP, and Windows default. |
Email triggers | Notifications can be triggered by events, date changes, and status changes. Choose a trigger and add recipients. Right-click the empty field and select a role, an employee, or enter an individual email address. |
Include hyperlink | Adds URL to notification, either local (Desktop) or internet (Web). |
Checkbox options | Enable email notifications. Various notification and warning settings. |
Click the ‘View Notification Queue’ button to view a list of notification items waiting to be sent by the Email Service. | |
Click the ‘Clear Notification Queue’ button too clear (delete) any unsent notifications in the queue. | |
Click the ‘Clear Notification Errors’ button to delete any error message in the Notification Queue. |
