Machine License Warning

A Machine License is Present but cannot be validated.
Crows Nest will attempt to retrieve a floating license.

This error indicates that the machine license stored on the machine has expired.


If you have a seat registered on that machine, use the Remove Machine License button to remove the license from the machine and then use the same button that now should read Register Machine License to re-register the license on the machine.


To renew the machine license, follow the steps below.

  1. Open CN and go to the Login window. If it automatically logs in, click the Logout button on the far right of the tool bar to get back to the Login window.

  2. Click the Connections button to expand the login window.

  3. Click the ‘Remove Machine License’ button; it should release the current license and the button text will change to ‘Register Machine License.’

  4. Click the ‘Register Machine License’ button to save a license seat to the machine.
