Problem

When running the setup.exe file you get the following error:

Solution

To fix this issue, you need to add the following address to the list of Trusted Sites: https://www.crowsnestsoftware.com/Install/ExcelImport/CrowsNestExcelImport.vsto

To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. Open Internet Explorer (even if it is not the browser you usually use).

  2. Click the settings icon (gear icon) in the upper right corner of the browser window, then select Internet Options.

  3. Click the Security tab, then click Trusted Sites.

  4. Click Sites.

  5. In the Add this website to the zone field, enter https://www.crowsnestsoftware.com/Install/ExcelImport/CrowsNestExcelImport.vsto , then click Add.

  6. Click Close.

  7. Download and run the Crows Nest Excel Add-In again.

Please make sure you use the Internet Explorer browser and not Edge when completing these steps.
